Operating this Year

As we embark on this year, we are all anticipating the things God will do within our lives, our church’s lives and the lives of His people across the nations. In a year that we are expecting to have what comes from our mouths, it’s vital to understand what that means. We need to hear God and what He is saying to us individually in order to have the correct words depart from our tongues.

That starts with turning inward.

You see, God is looking for someone who is willing to accept His judgement. Not judgement to condemn, but judgement to prune.

Without pruning, a plant gets overgrown and cannot bloom. With His judgement, God is preparing you for the more that you anticipate.

In order for that to happen, you have to be willing to accept His judgement for what it is and not make excuses for what you’re doing.

A year of Samuel is brought out when we turn from our ways and chase after His ways relentlessly.

In chasing after Him, our words will begin to change. What comes from our mouth should begin to be life and not death, prosperity and not poverty, and healing instead of disease.

Our words and our choice of action will show others what God is doing within us. It all should point back to Him and not to us.

Be mindful this year of what you say and do.

And remember, God can only bring you to your full potential when you choose to look inward and break off the old man.
