You’ve heard it before. If you’ve been following our words of encouragement you’ve heard it all month. Jesus is coming back. There is no denying that. In Revelations chapters 8-11 we understand what happens after Christ’s return from Man’s point of view.
The first trump will be the destruction of 1/3 of the trees and the grass, affecting the atmosphere. The second trump will be the destruction of 1/3 of the sea, sea creatures and ships, causing pollution. The third trump will be the destruction of 1/3 of the fountains, rivers and underground waterways, poisoning the water and mankind drinks. The fourth trump will be the destruction of 1/3 of the sun, the moon and the stars, affecting the tide and climate change. These four trumps will be the first 3 ½ years of tribulation where God tries for the last time to turn the heart of mankind to Him. He will use creation to try to reach the hardened hearts.
After these 3 ½ years, just as with the seals, God will pull His hand from the earth and allow Hell to be opened up. This brings the second 3 ½ years of tribulation and the next three trumps.
The fifth trump will be hell releasing onto earth beastlike locusts to torment mankind for months. The sixth trump will be hell releasing the antichrist into battle. The seventh trump ends the same way the seventh seal ended with Heaven opening up and Armageddon being set up. Within the last 3 ½ years, mankind will look for death, but it will flee them. Torture will be unbearable yet inescapable.
For those who know Christ as their savior and anticipate His return, this is all bypassed. For those who think they have time, this is reality.
It is easy to say we have time. It may even be easy to say you can go all Rambo if need be. It may even be easy to say none of this is true.
But if none of this is true, then your salvation isn’t true either. God didn’t get the whole bible right to get the ending wrong.
It is completely true or none of it is true.
No matter what you believe, the story ends the same:
As we end this month study of Revelations, be sure of your salvation. Be sure of your beliefs. Be sure that you are anticipating the return of the Savior.
None of this has to be scary, if you know Him and He knows you.
